About SPOSCOR
Q. How is SPOSCOR structured?
SPOSCOR comes in two layers: a shared foundation called SPOSCOR Core, and individual sport plugins on top of it.
Core handles what’s common to every sport — scoreboards and display themes. Each sport plugin sits on top and is tuned to how that particular sport is scored and recorded.
Install and activate Core first. Then add the sport plugins you need.
Q. Can I use Core on its own?
Yes. Core alone gives you a generic match type that works for any sport where two teams score across periods.
Futsal, volleyball, handball, dodgeball, inter-class competitions at schools — all of it works out of the box. Team names, period-by-period scores, match status: it’s all there.
Add a sport plugin when you want team colors and badges, or input screens and terminology specific to that sport.
Q. What happens to generic matches when I add a sport plugin?
The generic match menu is hidden once a sport plugin is active. Your data stays intact — deactivate the sport plugin and it reappears.
Q. What are the system requirements?
WordPress 6.0 or later, PHP 7.4 or later. Tested up to WordPress 7.0.
Q. What languages are supported?
English, Japanese, and Spanish. Both the admin screens and the published scoreboards appear in the selected language.
Plans
Q. What’s the difference between Free and Pro?
The free version lets you register an unlimited number of matches. You get all six display themes, team colors and badges, starting lineups, and highlights. If you’re publishing results one match at a time, Free covers it.
Pro adds tournaments — standings tables, brackets, automatic fixture generation from the draw, and live updates. Along with that: full design control, saved presets, bulk lineup pasting, the OBS streaming view, and priority support within 48 hours.
Q. Do I need to buy Pro for each sport separately?
Yes. Licenses are tied to individual sport plugins. Buying Pro for Baseball doesn’t upgrade Soccer — that stays on the free tier.
Q. Can I keep using the free version indefinitely?
Yes, there’s no time limit.
If you publish results match by match rather than organizing them into competitions, Free will serve you fine. Move to Pro when you need standings tables or brackets.
Q. About the “Powered by SPOSCOR” credit
It’s off by default. In the plugin settings you’ll find a Support SPOSCOR option — check it and a small logo appears below your match results.
Whether you display it is entirely up to you, on both Free and Pro, and nothing about the plugin changes if you leave it off.
If you don’t mind having it there, turning it on genuinely helps. More people discover SPOSCOR, and that keeps development going.
Shortcodes
Q. Which shortcodes are available?
Four of them.

The full scorecard lets you choose which blocks appear. Set a default globally, then override it for individual matches.
Standings and brackets are part of the tournament feature, so they’re available on Pro.
The actual shortcodes are shown in the admin, on each match or tournament edit screen. Copy and paste one into your page.
Q. Can I put several on one page?
Yes. A common setup is a league standings table alongside the knockout bracket, both on the same page. You can also line up multiple scorecards for a day’s fixtures.
Q. Can I use it for OBS streaming?
Pro gives you streaming URLs. Drop one into an OBS browser source and you get a transparent-background scoreboard that updates on screen as you enter scores.
Several display variants are available depending on the sport, so you can pick what fits your stream layout.
Licensing
Q. How do I activate my license after purchase?
Once your purchase goes through, a license key is emailed to you. Open the plugin settings in your WordPress admin, enter the key, and Pro features are unlocked.
Q. Can I use one license on multiple sites?
The number of sites depends on the plan you choose. The limit is shown at checkout.
Q. What happens if I don’t renew?
The plugin keeps working. Pro features are deactivated and you stop receiving updates, but none of your match data is lost.
Q. Can I get a refund?
If a defect makes the plugin unusable within 14 days of purchase and we can’t resolve it, we’ll refund you in full. The same window applies to automatic renewal charges.
Contact support first. Most issues turn out to be a setting or a theme conflict, and those we can usually fix.
Separately, if something is broken on our side, get in touch regardless of how much time has passed. We’ll either fix it or refund you.
Sports
Q. Which sports are supported right now?
Soccer(Football) has been submitted to WordPress.org and is currently under review. Once it’s approved, sport plugins follow: basketball first, then baseball.then padel
Core on its own covers a wide range through its generic match type, so you can start using it even for sports that don’t have a dedicated plugin yet.
Q. What’s coming next?
Volleyball, table tennis, tennis, badminton, handball, and more. We’re also planning sports that no existing plugin has bothered to cover, like boccia and mölkky.
Q. I’d like to see my sport supported.

Q. Can I run several sports at once?
Yes. One installation of Core supports as many sport plugins as you need. A club that handles both soccer and baseball can install both and use them side by side.
Display and Behavior
Q. The shortcode shows up as plain text.
First, check that SPOSCOR Core is active. When Core is inactive, shortcodes aren’t processed and appear as-is.
If Core is active, check where you pasted it. Shortcodes placed in a Custom HTML block or a Code block will display literally. Use the Shortcode block, or a regular paragraph block.
Q. The scoreboard layout looks broken.
Your theme’s CSS may be interfering. SPOSCOR outputs its styles inline to avoid this, but a theme with strong declarations can still override them.
Let us know which theme you’re using and how it breaks, and we’ll look into it.
Q. Does it conflict with other plugins?
It works alongside most plugins without trouble, though we can’t test every possible combination. Try the free version in your environment first, then move to Pro once you’re satisfied.

Q. Where is my match data stored?
In your own WordPress database. Nothing is sent anywhere else.
Q. Can I migrate from SportsPress?
There’s no automatic migration at the moment. We’re considering it for the future.
