powereight Co., Ltd. operates the website sposcor.com and develops the SPOSCOR family of WordPress plugins (collectively, the “Services”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have.
1. Who We Are
Company: powereight Co., Ltd.
Representative: Tsuyoshi Yamamoto, Director
Location: Shizuoka, Japan
Contact: support@sposcor.com
For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), powereight Co., Ltd. is the data controller for personal data collected through this website and our plugins.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
Contact forms. When you contact us through a form on this site, we collect your name, email address, and the contents of your message. We use this solely to respond to your inquiry.
Purchases. When you purchase a paid license, checkout is handled by Freemius, Inc., our authorized reseller and merchant of record. Freemius collects your name, email address, billing address, and payment details. We never receive or store your full credit card number. We receive only your name, email address, country, license status, and transaction records — the information needed to deliver your license and provide support.
Freemius acts as an independent data controller for payment data. Their privacy policy: https://freemius.com/privacy/
2.2 Information Collected Automatically on This Website
Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects your IP address (anonymized where required), pages viewed, time on page, referring source, browser and device type, and approximate geographic location (country/city level).
We do not use this data to identify individuals. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Google’s privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Cookies. Our site uses cookies for analytics (as described above), language preference (when you switch between English, Japanese, and Spanish), and basic WordPress session functions. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings; some site functions may not work correctly if you do.
Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard access logs including IP address, timestamp, requested URL, and user agent. These are retained for security and troubleshooting purposes.
2.3 Information Collected by the SPOSCOR Plugins
This is opt-in. We collect nothing unless you agree.
When you activate a SPOSCOR plugin, you will be asked whether you want to share usage data with us. This consent screen is provided by Freemius, the platform we use for licensing and plugin analytics.
If you opt in, the following is sent to Freemius and made available to us:
- Your site URL and site title
- The email address of the WordPress administrator account
- WordPress version, PHP version, and active theme
- SPOSCOR plugin version and which sport modules are active
- A list of other active plugins (names and versions only)
- Plugin activation, deactivation, and uninstall events
- Your reason for deactivating, if you choose to tell us
If you skip or decline, none of the above is transmitted. The plugin’s full functionality remains available on the free tier. You can withdraw consent at any time from the plugin’s settings screen.
What we never collect from your site: match data, team names, player names, scores, tournament records, your site’s content, your visitors’ data, or anything stored in your WordPress database. All of that stays on your server.
License verification. For paid licenses, the plugin periodically contacts Freemius to verify your license is valid, transmitting your license key and site URL. This is required for the paid features to function and is not optional for paid users.
