We’re building SPOSCOR — a WordPress plugin for local sports teams and tournament organizers who want to publish match results without wrestling with a league management system.

The plugin is split into two layers. There’s a core engine that handles the shared machinery — scoreboards, tournaments, display themes — and on top of that sit individual sport modules, each tuned to how that sport is actually scored and recorded.

The core has now been submitted to the WordPress.org plugin directory and is currently under review. Once it’s approved, the sport modules follow: soccer first, then basketball, then baseball.

Here’s the thinking behind it. Most existing sports plugins are built for running full leagues — season management, player databases, extensive configuration. That’s genuinely useful if you need it, but it’s a lot of machinery for a club that just wants to put up the weekend’s results. SPOSCOR goes the other way: paste one shortcode, get a clean scoreboard.

The free tier includes unlimited games, six display themes, and one tournament — which gives you a bracket and a standings table. A Pro version at $39/year lifts the tournament limit and adds custom colors and presets, bulk lineup entry, an OBS streaming overlay for live broadcasters, and priority support.

Beyond the first three sports, we’re working toward a much wider range — including ones existing plugins have never bothered with, like boccia and mölkky.

Everything ships in English, Japanese, and Spanish from day one.
